The club was started up over 10 years ago now (previously known as Plymouth Storm & Plymouth Raiders) with the aim of trying to provide opportunities for people to play disability sport in the form of wheelchair basketball. Over the last decade we have seen steady growth from the club with more and more people coming along to try out wheelchair basketball and staying. We have now reached the stage that we have sessions for people that want to play competitive in the League, open to all, Women's and Juniors. Are aim is to try and get as many people playing from across the city as we can over the next 12-18 months.

Our other aim at the club is to try and break down barriers around disability, inclusion and equality and we are doing this by getting people playing that aren't injured or have a disability. Having a sport that allows both able-bodied and disabled/injured to play together is something truly fantastic and having no barriers in place as everyone is on the same level of having to play in a wheelchair. We hope that over the next 12 months that we will be able to take this into school to help break down these barriers even further and get even more people having the opportunity to taster a disability sport.

On our sessions page it details the sessions that we have currently and the times and places that these are held. So if you are interested then please get in touch so we can get you along to one of sessions for you to try out our amazing sport.

What does Plymouth Fusion stand for?

When we decided to change our name and come away from Plymouth Raiders one of the main reasons in doing so was to regain our own identity so that we could hopefully have a bigger impact in acheiving our mission. So after much consultation and deliberation we come up with Plymouth Fusion and the logo behind it. The different bands of colour that orbit around the ball all represent something that we strive to develop and increase with the hope that it creates more opportunities for those living in and around Plymouth. Below are the different elements of our logo and what help build the identity of our club and the things we are trying to create.
